The Howard Steamboat Museum is located in a Richardsonian Romanesque mansion built in 1894 home. The home was built by the steamboat builders, the Howards of Jeffersonville. The master craftsmen from the shipyard created much of the decor in the mansion. This museum features original furnishings, brass chandeliers, stained glass windows, and intricate carvings throughout as well as models and other memorabilia related to steamboats.
