The PPS meetup group scheduled a milky way shoot at the Lake Henshaw observation area. I stayed there until about 7:30 as it didn’t look like the clouds were going to clear. Someone mentioned that they were supposed to start clearing about 10. At that time, the milky way would be vertical and to the right of the lake, I was hoping to use lake to capture a reflection of the milky way. It look like I will have to come out here in June next year to catch that view.
I decided to head home early and I watched the sky start to glow with the sunset. I’ve been passing this windmill and shed for 50 years but never passed it with a great sky. Today was different. I drove passed it and realized it was going to be a great shot.
