The PPS Meetup group went up to the Cabrillo lighthouse to shoot the sunset and the city lights. Normally this location is not open after sunset, but for the month of August they were commemorating the ratification of the 19th amendment. In addition to being open late, the park service also lite the lighthouse in purple and gold, the colors of the movement.
It was a very muggy night for San Diego. I haven’t been up to the monument in many years. One of the park rangers mentioned that it was the most people she had seen there due to the Coronavirus. In a couple of the photos you can see the two cruise ships that have been stuck here in San Diego since everything closed down. They have to stay outside the harbor and only come back in for supplies.
