Montreal, Canada - October 2, 2014
Work sent me to Montreal for a vendor conference, and it turned out to be a perfect time to visit — the leaves were changing color with just a slight chill in the air. Wandering through the old neighborhoods with their historic buildings and parks was a real treat. One evening we were hosted for a get-together at the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, which turned out to be a fascinating and unique venue. The museum sits above several historic and archaeological sites of national significance, with major periods of Montreal's history brought to life throughout its exhibits. What makes it especially remarkable is that many of the archaeological remains uncovered during construction have been left in place as part of the museum's permanent display.
