Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, California - February 28, 2022
I’ve made plenty of quick day trips out to the local desert over the years, but this time I wanted something more immersive. I signed up for a multi-day photography workshop in the area and added a guided jeep tour -- something I’d always been curious about but had never done before.
No trip through this part of California is complete without a stop in Julian, and I kept up the tradition with a visit to Dudley’s Bakery. I arrived early and the shelves were still mostly bare from the morning rush, but I managed to snag some cookies -- a perfectly acceptable consolation!
This was actually the first of two back-to-back workshops I had booked. Right after wrapping up here I headed straight to Organ Pipe National Monument for round two. It turned into quite the desert adventure.
