Ricardo Breceda Gallery, Aguanga, California – March 8, 2022
Ricardo Breceda is the sculptor behind the iconic artwork in Borrego Springs. I’ve been photographing his pieces for a couple of years now, and when I found out he had a gallery just a short drive away, I finally made it happen — taking a trip out there with my sister and her husband.
The gallery is a sprawling open-air space filled with an impressive variety of creations. You’ll find wall art, smaller decorative pieces, and then truly massive sculptures that stop you in your tracks. The subjects range from realistic animals to mythical creatures and even Marvel characters — something for everyone!
After exploring the gallery, we headed into Temecula for an early dinner at the Pechanga Resort Casino. A great way to cap off the day.
