Great Smoky Mountains, Colonel Sanders Museum, Shaker Village - November 12, 2009
I decided to visit a friend who lives in Marysville, Tennessee. On the way, I discovered that I would pass right by the original Colonel Sanders Cafe and Motel in Corbin, Kentucky. The kitchen and dining room have been restored, and a model motel room has been recreated for visitors. I also stopped at Cumberland Falls State Park, just outside of Corbin.
My friend and I visited Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It was a quick day trip, but we managed to cover a good portion of the park. On the way back to Kentucky, I stopped at the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.
