There are two great places I like to visit in Sacramento. I love trains and the California Railroad Museum has an incredible collection and display. On this visit they had a display of photographs of the building of the transcontinental railroad. Most of the images were stereo cards. In addition to the cards, they displayed a collection of viewers and cameras.

I’ve also developed a love of old cemeteries and Sacramento has an incredible one. Established in 1849 the grounds were landscaped in the Victorian Garden style.
