Hawk Watch is an annual event held in Ramona each January and February, hosted at a volunteer’s private residence overlooking the Ramona Grassland Preserve. Out in the preserve, you might catch wild raptors soaring overhead — always a thrill! The event itself features captive birds and animals that have been injured and can no longer survive in the wild. There are informational displays, exhibits from various wildlife organizations, and a falconry demonstration that’s well worth watching.
