Tucson, Arizona – May 29, 2023
I headed to Tucson for the NANPA conference and arrived a couple of days early to make the most of the trip. The extra time let me visit Chiricahua National Monument, the Titan Missile Museum, Tumacácori National Historical Park, and Cochise Stronghold. The conference itself packed in a great mix of presentations and shooting opportunities, including visits to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and Tohono Chul Gardens.
On the drive home I finally stopped at the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park — a place I’d driven past more times than I can count. It sits right on the Colorado River at the state line, and it was well worth pulling over for.
